At New York Fashion Week on September 9th, Jason Wu delivered a collection that proved his head was still in the game during his Hugo Boss stint. The airy looks brought the fun and brightness back to Spring/Summer, with serious fashion taking the back burner. Set in a glitz office atmosphere, the show combined cheerful florals with a revved-up spin on office wear.
There were trousers with a matching sheer top and neon yellow sport stripes and a navy blue blazer that led in to a light blue metallic skirt. In typical Jason Wu fashion the collection included a number of covetable gowns, this time adorned with floral appliqués that almost look painted on. For Wu, SS’17 was girlish fun with a slight business attitude which made for a collection that was a much needed breath of fresh air.
