The foggy atmosphere and ambient music at the Julius Fall/Winter 2012 show matched the ambiguous and somewhat mysterious collection. Following the military trend this season with his thick boots and leather cargos, head designer Tatsuro Horikawa also stayed in his typically gothic direction. The collection was a bit mad scientist with a peculiar boxy white lab coat, and several shape shifting looks with floating hems seemed to have four sleeves for the models’ mere two arms, to the effect of transforming them into lanky, moving Rorschach tests.

Lightly puffed quilted vests brought the collection back to reality, and a few dramatically draped knit pieces added an extra touch of movement to the collection.
