KATIE CERCONE BRINGS “PINK LOTUS” TO THE UNTITLED SPACE’S CELEBRATED “IN FULL BLOOM” GROUP EXHIBITION

Guests gathered at The Untitled Space on May 21, 2026, for a special evening of performance art as artist Katie Cercone, also known as Or Nah, presented her immersive work “Pink Lotus” within the gallery’s current group exhibition, “In Full Bloom.” The event transformed the gallery into a living extension of the exhibition’s themes, exploring transformation, embodiment, spirituality, and self-expression through movement, ritual, and performance.

Presented during New York’s spring art season, “In Full Bloom” brings together works by 34 contemporary artists whose practices engage with floral and botanical imagery across painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, installation, and performance. The exhibition examines how flowers function not simply as decorative motifs, but as powerful symbols of identity, resilience, beauty, vulnerability, renewal, and personal transformation.

At the center of the evening was Cercone’s live performance, “Pink Lotus,” a shakti-infused yoga dance flow centered around the lotus mudra and exploring themes of divine feminine energy, embodiment, spiritual awakening, and transformation. Drawing from the symbolic power of the pink lotus—long associated with enlightenment, rebirth, purity, and transcendence—the performance reimagined the body as both altar and living archive.

Blending movement, ritual, breath, and meditative gesture, “Pink Lotus” channeled Shakti, the divine feminine principle, through an immersive choreography rooted in consciousness, sensuality, and becoming. Referencing ancient goddess traditions and the lotus as a timeless symbol of “Heaven on Earth,” Cercone invited viewers into an experience that was simultaneously visceral, spiritual, and transformative. Moving throughout the gallery in an elaborate lotus-inspired costume, the artist activated the exhibition space itself, creating a living dialogue between performance and the floral imagery on view.
