KESHA’S “ORIGAMI!” TURNS SEX, SURVIVAL, AND SELF-LOVE INTO A POP ANTHEM
Kesha is entering her next era with zero interest in playing it safe. The artist just released the official music video for “ORIGAMI!,” a hyper-sexual, playful, and emotionally charged anthem that arrives days before the launch of “The Freedom Tour,” her upcoming 25-date North American run kicking off May 23.
Co-directed by Kesha alongside Brett Loudermilk and Zain Curtis, the visual leans fully into themes of liberation, self-expression, and bodily autonomy, framing pleasure as both rebellion and release. Choreographed by Robbie Blue, the video positions Kesha in a surreal, sensual universe that feels intentionally untamed — less polished pop fantasy and more emotional exorcism through dance, movement, and unapologetic desire.
“‘ORIGAMI!’ is a celebration of sex,” Kesha shared. “Wherever and with whoever you choose to have it with! It’s about embracing freedom and self-love that we all deserve.”
The release also marks the beginning of what Kesha is positioning as more than a concert tour. “The Freedom Tour” arrives wrapped in themes of survival, healing, radical joy, and collective catharsis — ideas that have increasingly shaped her recent creative output. Speaking on the tour, Kesha stated: “This summer we are reclaiming our bodies, our voices, and our joy. We have survived. Now we get to be free.”
That energy feels especially resonant for an artist whose career has continually evolved from chaotic party-pop disruptor into something more emotionally raw and self-defined. Long before her current era of radical honesty and reinvention, Kesha connected with The Untitled Magazine for an exclusive interview and photo shoot with founder and editor-in-chief Indira Cesarine during the early stages of her breakout career — a moment that now feels like an interesting time capsule of an artist still on the verge of becoming a global pop force.

Since then, Kesha has transformed her public narrative repeatedly, navigating legal battles, industry pressures, reinvention, vulnerability, and creative independence while maintaining a loyal fanbase drawn to her refusal to fit neatly into the expectations placed on female pop stars. “ORIGAMI!” feels like the latest chapter in that evolution — chaotic, erotic, emotionally exposed, and fully self-authored.
Known for turning live shows into communal emotional release valves, Kesha promises a tour filled with “anthems, surreal visuals, cathartic sing-alongs, and the kind of emotional release that transforms arenas into spiritual safe places.” The tour will feature support from Chromeo across all dates, with appearances from Sizzy Rocket, MEEK, and Erika Jayne on select stops.
Alongside the tour, Kesha is also set to appear at Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival and All Things Go Festival, while helming Bonnaroo’s 2026 SuperJam, “Kesha Presents: Superjâm Esoteríca: The Alchemy of Pop,” featuring collaborators including Margo Price, Chromeo, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Grouplove, Blondshell, Del Water Gap, and Wyatt Flores.
If “ORIGAMI!” is any indication, Kesha’s current creative mode is less about reinvention for reinvention’s sake and more about radical ownership — of identity, sexuality, joy, and survival. Messy, emotional, euphoric, and defiantly alive, it’s the kind of pop era that feels designed less for perfection and more for release.
