Keys N Krates have partnered with mtvU for the premiere of the official music video for “Dum Dee Dum,” the lead single off their latest EP, SOLOW out on Dim Mak. The music video follows director Slave Labour as he travels to an obscure Mennonite village, bringing the badass bass of “Dum Dee Dum” along with him in boomboxes, iPods, and other technology unknown to the Amish-like community. Initially, the Mennonites seem to be repulsed by the music (one man just calls it “awful”), but as the video progresses, we begin to see a warming up of the community to Keys N Krates’ breakthrough tune. The progression of reactions is priceless.
The release of SOLOW follows a major year for Keys N Krates, which included a North American tour with high profile performances at this year’s Hard Summer in Los Angeles and Lollapalooza. The band continues to tour this year with performances at Voodoo Music + Arts Experience in New Orleans and select dates on the Aokify America tour with Dim Mak boss Steve Aoki.
