KYE – NEW YORK – FALL/WINTER 2016 FASHION SHOW

KYE‘s latest collection focuses on unconventional silhouettes, mixtures of bold contrasting color blocking and mix matched styling. Launched by Kathleen Kye in 2011, the line is always built from Seoul street style inspiration. Bright, loud, and clashing: this season debuted on February 12 at The Gallery at Skylight Clarkson Square and the collection looked like it was pulled from the sidewalks and placed on a runway in the best way. Heavily influenced by retro trends from various years, the busy-ness of the collection added to the aesthetic. Contemporary colored knits, billowing bottoms, furry details and oversized tops made for a gender fluid line. Most impressive were the coats, ranging in silhouette, but colorful, fur-lined, oversized and perfect for a day when the outerwear has to do the talking.
