La Roux channels the kitschy aesthetics of 80s infomercials for her latest music video for “Kiss And Not Tell,” a single from her debut album as a solo act, Trouble In Paradise. With vibrant bubblegum colors and a slightly clouded filter, the peachy four-minute video features La Roux shimmying in front of a fence, convincing people to “kiss and not tell.” Amusingly enough, the British number shown in the video (+44-155-728-0014) is actually a real number that leads you to an operater saying, “Press 1 to get down. Press 2 to leave a cheeky message. Be careful what you say, these recordings can and will be shared.”
The Grammy-Award winning duo, La Roux, recently became a one-woman act when the band’s former vocalist, Elly Jackson, released a solo album and kept La Roux as her stage name. The album, titled Trouble In Paradise, was released in August 2014. See the video for “Kiss And Not Tell” below. And for friskier fans, feel free to dial the number and leave that cheeky message!
