LANVIN – PARIS F/W 2012 FASHION SHOW
The Fall 2012 collection from Lanvin celebrated ten years of Alber Elbaz as creative director, taking a second look at some of Elbaz’s greatest hits he’s designed for the prestigious couture house over the years. The collection was an overwhelming display of Elbaz’s obsession with cut, construction, and multitasking wearability, all of which has made him the “pioneer of the Dress Decade,” as Vogue so aptly put it. The looks were lively, colorful, and jewel encrusted with a slight flounce. Running the style gamut, the collection was more about a celebration of Lanvin and the iconic pieces it’s become known for under Elbaz, rather than any particular silhouette or style. Minimalist, chic, and with a heavy dose of drama, Elbaz always seems to know just what the Lanvin woman wants.
