British pop artist, producer and songwriter Little Boots (aka Victoria Hesketh) announced she will be releasing her highly anticipated third full-length album titled “Working Girl” in the U.S. on July 10th via Dim Mak Records and her own imprint, On Repeat. Little Boots also premiered a brand new track from the album entitled “Better In The Morning.”  Hesketh says that this track is “an ode to ‘the walk of shame’, the morning after the night before”. The track was produced by Grammy Award winning producer Ariel Rechtshaid (Haim, Madonna, Charli XCX).Little Boots will also be headlining a North American tour this summer. The tour will start on the west coast at Los Angeles’ The Echo, and will be stopping in San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Boston and Washington, D.C. throughout July.
“Working Girl” contemplates our hyper-active, paranoid and posturing modern society. The title is also a nod to the 1989 film of the same name. “The album’s inspired by my journey from the beginning to the present, where I am essentially CEO of my own business and run an independent label,” Hesketh explains. “It’s also fun and empowering to turn the traditional associations of ‘working girl’ on their head.”Over the course of 11 songs, “Working Girl” takes you on a spacious, spooked-out, empowering journey, that takes in contemporary house and garage sounds, as well as mixes of minimal R&B, widescreen pop and disco gems.
