This month Louis Vuitton has opened its newest private museum, “La Galerie.” This is the luxury brand’s second museum and exhibit. The brand, which is known for its collection of high-end, luxurious handbags and travel wear, is to hold the private event in northern Paris, where the Louis Vuitton family famously kept their home, as well as workshops, where they continue to produce their most exclusive made-to-order items.
The museum exhibit will display a collection of vintage pieces, dating in chronological order, including the family’s personal collection of Venetian women’s platform shoes and the signature couturier, Louis Vuitton trunks. As guests move through the exhibit in no particular order, they will visit different elements of the display, grouped together by particular themes and moments in time.
Upon the museum’s opening on July 5, an exclusive party was held for celebrities and other guests in the home’s garden. It is important to note that the party and the exhibit itself, is not open to the public. It is invitation-only and sure to be both a memorable and privileged experience.
