MARTIN MARGIELA – HAUTE COUTURE
In this collection, Margiela demonstrates his encompassing vision of finding beauty in everything. Margiela’s pieces speak to the very meaning of avant-garde. A bolero and jacket made out of baseball gloves seemed imported from the future. Ornate nets, studded with stones and crystals, referenced a sport–like fencing–and eerily hid the models’ faces. Decontextualizing has never been so practical and wearable (his trademark).
