NAEEM KHAN – NEW YORK – SPRING / SUMMER 2013 FASHION SHOW
Naeem Khan has made a name for himself as the master of embellished eveningwear, but his SS13 line was a clear departure towards more ready-to-wear pieces. The crowd (which included actresses Jordana Brewster and Padma Lakshmi) responded favorably to what has largely come to be considered the key piece of the line: a nude beaded bodice with a blue silk floor-length skirt. While the show saw an emphasis on chic black-and-white, it was a cacophony of colors that closed out the line, with a rainbow of beaded sparkling silk caftans.
