NEW YORK FASHION WEEK REVEALS PRELIMINARY SPRING/SUMMER 2027 SCHEDULE WITH MAJOR RETURNS, NEW DEBUTS, AND A FOCUS ON AMERICAN DESIGN
The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has released the preliminary official schedule for New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2027, outlining six days of runway shows, presentations, and designer appointments set to take place from September 10–15, 2026. The calendar features nearly 70 runway shows and presentations, bringing together established American fashion houses, emerging designers, and a new generation of CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalists.
This season begins with a significant milestone as Diane von Furstenberg returns to the runway with the debut collection from newly appointed artistic director Henry Zankov. The opening show marks the beginning of a new chapter for the iconic American label while placing one of New York’s most respected emerging designers at the center of Fashion Week. The week concludes with Thom Browne, whose theatrical presentations continue to position him among the defining voices of American luxury fashion.
Among the schedule’s biggest returns is Tommy Hilfiger, whose runway comeback follows several seasons away from the official calendar. Calvin Klein Collection also returns under Veronica Leoni, while Monse and avant-garde label threeASFOUR rejoin the lineup, reflecting a renewed balance between legacy brands and experimental voices.
The calendar also reinforces New York’s role as a platform for both established names and rising talent. Designers including Michael Kors Collection, Altuzarra, Proenza Schouler, Christian Siriano, Tory Burch, Carolina Herrera, Anna Sui, Khaite, LaQuan Smith, Brandon Maxwell, Prabal Gurung, Simkhai, Bibhu Mohapatra, Sergio Hudson, Ulla Johnson, Collina Strada, Eckhaus Latta, Todd Snyder, Sandy Liang, Grace Ling, Campillo, Elena Velez, Diotima, Fforme, Luar, Christian Cowan, Kim Shui, Bach Mai, Kallmeyer, Wiederhoeft, Jane Wade, Rio, Advisry, Frederick Anderson, Andrew Kwon, and Heirlome are among those scheduled to present new collections.
This season also continues the CFDA’s emphasis on supporting emerging American fashion. Several 2026 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalists appear on the official calendar, including Bad Binch TongTong by Terrence Zhou, Amir Taghi, Jamie Haller, Milamore by George Inaki, Aisling Camps, Zoe Gustavia Anna Whalen, and Lii, offering audiences an early look at some of the industry’s most closely watched new talent.
Outside the official schedule, Ralph Lauren will present its Spring 2027 collection on September 9, joined by Coach, which celebrates its 25th anniversary, along with Rachel Comey, Cult Gaia, and Libertine. While not part of the official CFDA calendar, these presentations further expand a week that continues to evolve beyond traditional runway formats.
Alongside runway shows, the schedule includes an extensive program of appointments, digital presentations, and New York Men’s Day showcases. Designers such as Hervé Léger, Jason Wu Collection, High Sport, N.Hoolywood, Tadashi Shoji, Theory, PatBO, Grey’s, Tanner Fletcher, Maria McManus, Alix(e) of Bohemia, Hikari no Yami, Public Serv-ce, and others will present collections through alternative formats that have become an increasingly important part of Fashion Week.
The announcement also reflects the continued evolution of New York Fashion Week itself. Since acquiring the Fashion Calendar in 2014, the CFDA has positioned the official schedule as a centralized platform for designers while expanding opportunities for both established labels and emerging talent. This season’s lineup illustrates the city’s ongoing commitment to creative independence, with heritage American brands appearing alongside experimental designers shaping fashion’s next chapter.
