The Nicholas K line took the runway on February 11 2016 at The Dock at Skylight Moynihan Station in deep burgundy’s, shiny slates, and shades of violet. With helmet-like headpieces, the ladies looked ready to jump into the pilot’s seat, but their outfits were fit for first class. Designed by Christopher and Nicholas Kunz, the layered looks of differing textures and monochromatic colors were filled with movement, yet still tied down. With wide belts over varying slips, leather accents, strappy accessories, and luxurious crushed velvet pieces, the collection was cohesive from start to finish. The outerwear consisted of roomy parkas, quilted materials and shearling details. The urban collection was ready for a night out, yet in survivalist, nomadic looks like these for which the duo is known, a woman could be ready for just about anything.
