July 24, 2013 — San Francisco, CA – Another Planet Entertainment and Superfly Presents announces that the 2013 Outside Lands Festival has sold out all 65,000 tickets for the third consecutive year. Tickets are no longer available on line and will not be available on site during the weekend of the festival. This is the fastest Outside Lands has sold out to date.

For those with tickets, Outside Lands also announces new food and drink experiences today – these, once again, up the ante on the festival’s unprecedented culinary personality.  To add to Wine Lands, and its stellar selection of over 100 wines, Cheese Lands will debut in the Wine Lands Courtyard and feature local cheeses hand-selected by Culture magazine’s own Thalassa Skinner and Long Meadow Ranch. Adjacent to the Wine Lands Courtyard will be the Farmstead Tasting Table, which will showcase Long Meadow Ranch’s world-class wines through distinctive food pairings, includingpork rillettes by Farmstead and charcuterie by Fatted Calf. Further enhancing the Wine Lands’ menu, Wines of Portugal will return for the second year, and Momokawa Saké will debut. Momokawa, produced in Forest Grove, Oregon by SakéOne, will introduce organic draft saké for the first time ever.  For a new total of 72 food vendors, A Taste of the Bay Area welcomes The Butcher’s Daughter, Alicia’s Tamales Los Mayas, Precita Park Café, and Lucca Foods to its lineup while Casey’s Pizza and Spin City Coffee will be found within Outside Lands’ VIP Experience. Growing its mission to serve and embrace the culinary community, Outside Lands expands on its existing relationship with the locally based non-profit La Cocina. La Cocina supports minority and immigrant female entrepreneurs in the food world by providing them with affordable commercial kitchen space, industry-specific technical assistance and access to market opportunities. Outside Lands has welcomed La Cocina-originated vendors since its inception, and this year, La Cocina itself will be found in the festival’s non-profit area. Five La Cocina alumni and culinary talents join A Taste of the Bay Area this year; these include El Huarache Loco, Sabores Del Sur, Endless Summer Sweets, Azalina’s, and Alicia’s Tamales Los Mayas.  Finally, the wildly popular Outside Lambs and Choco Lands will return to McLaren Pass with menus devoted to the love of lamb and chocolate respectively.

The sixth annual Outside Lands will take place in San Francisco’s historic Golden Gate Park August 9 – 11, 2013. A significant portion of every ticket sold directly benefits San Francisco’s Recreation and Park Department. The Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival has become a cherished event that the city of San Francisco has embraced as fans from across the country flock to spend an incomparable weekend in one of America’s greatest parks. Each year, festival organizers ensure that every facet of the event highlights the Bay Area and all of the components that make it one of the most desirable places to live and visit. They also like to the say thank you to the city and the local communities surrounding the park by giving back in substantial ways. In its first five years, Outside Lands has raised over $6 million for the benefit of the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department. A 2011 economic study reported that the festival generates over $60 million annually to the San Francisco economy.
