PROJECT NEW YORK TRADE SHOW WRAPS UP IN SOHO

PROJECT NY

The increasingly interactive, forward-thinking trade show PROJECT wrapped up their New York edition on Tuesday. Brands established and emerging showcased spring 2013 product lines to press and buyers amid art installations, Tanteo tequila cocktails, and coffee by ‎La Colombe. The event’s initiatives involved on-site workshops in millenary, cobbling, metal-working and garment repair as part of Made By Project: a pop-up concept where brands created product right on the floor. Exhibitors within the initiative included homebrew supply shop Bitter Esters, British outerwear company Barbour, Japanese artisanal watch workshop Dedegumo, Oak Street Bootmakers, and others. The Blogger Project resided on the second floor—a selection of influential bloggers curated by taste-maker Marcus Troy. All bloggers were outfitted with the new XPS laptop by Dell with which to live blog the show. They documented the best-of-show, utilizing Sandbox Studio’s professional photo and styling services to aid in content production. Content was streaming live on HD screens and blog feeds, including attendee-curated content aggregated by use of the Swagg app. Attendees were offered complimentary haircuts by Rudy’s Barber Shop pop-up and bottled beverages by Crabbie’s Ginger Beer. Notable celebrity appearances included the A$AP Mob and Miley Cyrus.

The show will resume with its Las Vegas edition August 20th-22nd.
