This year’s Comic-Con was full of exciting news, especially that Rihanna will be making her television debut in the drama series Bates Motel, the prequel to Alfred Hitchcock’s 1960 film Psycho. RiRi is set to play the iconic Marion Crane, who was played in the film by Janet Leigh. The actress, singer, fashion icon, and designer said in last year’s Vanity Fair profile that she was a fan of the show, and Bates Motel‘s producers were listening.

“We wanted to thrust the iconic role into a contemporary spotlight and redefine it in a meaningful and exciting new way. We also heard Rihanna was a fan of the show, and we were huge fans of hers, so it was the perfect collision of creativity and fate.” – Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin, executive producers of Bates Motel

This marks Rihanna’s first acting role since the action-packed film Battleship and her cameo in This is the End.

Acting isn’t the only thing on the pop star’s plate, though. RiRi is still on the European leg of her Anti World Tour, which will wrap up in August, and will perform at the Made in America Festival in Philadelphia in September. In addition, she collaborated with Dior on a pair of futuristic sunglasses and her track, “Sledgehammer,” is a star song from the new film Star Trek Beyond.

Is there anything RiRi can’t do? We don’t think there is.
