Last night, on September 6th, Rihanna and Puma unveiled her latest Fenty collection and campaign. The superstar, who is creative director of the streetwear brand, made special appearances at Bergdorf Goodman and SIX:02 pop-up shop in NYC to mark the occasion. Fans waited in droves at a chance to glimpse the Riri and the clothes which are the singer’s characteristic blend of edgy streetwise styling with sexy details. Rihanna’s own outfit consisted of snap-away track pants that revealed thigh high Puma boots, layered with mesh hot pants and a long-sleeved crop top. Of her new offerings she explained:
“This collection is not only a representation of who I am and how I dress, but also pushes the boundaries of what I wanted to create with Puma. I wanted to take Puma to a new place with something unpredictable and unexpected. It’s Japanese street culture with a haunting twist. I played with texture and silhouettes and all of the fabrics are luxurious. I reinterpreted the traditional in my way.” -Rihanna
While some lucky fans got in for an actual meet-and-greet with Rihanna, others caught the clothing launch in a typical millennial way: on Snapchat and Instagram.
