Ahead of their West Coast performances, the Kills have expanded their tour to include new shows in Brooklyn and Philadelphia along with a handful of festivals. Festival season ’tis approaching, after all. The newly announced dates follow their critically acclaimed run this past year, including shows as special guests to Queens of The Stone Age, Arctic Monkeys, Jack White and The Black Keys. A band of multi-threats, in addition to their musical contributions, they recently explored their love for visual art. Jamie Hince opened “Echo Home,” an exhibit of his photographic work at the Morrison Hotel Gallery in New York City, and he’s not the only one. Along with Jamie’s photography, Alison Mosshart’s original painting were included in “Push It”, a group show devoted to female artists at ArtNowNY this April. Her work was also presented at Miami’s Art Basel in December. But don’t fret, new music is on the way. The Kills are currently in the studio working to crank out something fabulous, but until that drops don’t miss them live.
