THE UNTITLED SPACE PRESENTS SYNCHROTANIA, ISABELLA RONCHETTI, AND XINYAN YU IN ARTSY’S “FOUNDATIONS 2026” ART FAIR
Three artists. Three distinct visual languages. One shared exploration of transformation. This August, The Untitled Space joins Artsy’s “Foundations 2026” with a curated online presentation spotlighting three emerging artists whose practices reflect some of the most compelling conversations happening in contemporary art today. Running August 3–21, 2026, the exhibition brings together the photographic worlds of Synchrotania (Tania Shcheglova) alongside new paintings by Isabella Ronchetti and Xinyan Yu, offering collectors an opportunity to discover artists whose practices are already gaining international recognition while continuing to evolve in exciting new directions.
Created to introduce collectors to the next generation of contemporary artists, “Foundations 2026” showcases emerging and early-career talent from leading small and mid-sized galleries around the world. Rather than presenting a single aesthetic, the initiative embraces a broad spectrum of contemporary practice—making it a platform where collectors often encounter artists at pivotal moments in their careers.
The Untitled Space’s presentation reflects that spirit. While each artist works in a different medium, all three explore questions of identity, memory, perception, and humanity’s relationship with the natural world, creating works that move between the personal and the universal.
Following her internationally recognized career as one half of the acclaimed artist duo Synchrodogs, Synchrotania (Tania Shcheglova) has developed an independent photographic practice centered on consciousness, intuition, and humanity’s connection to nature. Since launching her solo career in 2023, she has expanded her ongoing project Innerland, pioneering what she describes as “Inner World Portraiture” through immersive images that merge staged photography, performance, and installation.
Her work has received international recognition, including the 2025 ArtPrize Juried Grand Prize, alongside honors from PhotoVogue, the Sony World Alpha Female Award, and the International Photography & Fine Art Awards. Exhibited at institutions including Dallas Contemporary, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Palais de Tokyo, PinchukArtCentre, and the Benaki Museum, Shcheglova creates dreamlike compositions that invite viewers to reconsider the relationship between the external landscape and inner consciousness.
Italian-American artist Isabella Ronchetti approaches painting with equal parts wit and psychological intensity. Ronchetti recently completed her MFA in Figurative Painting at the New York Academy of Art after earning a BA in Graphic Design & Art Direction from NABA in Milan, Ronchetti works across painting, textiles, performance, and installation. Drawing from philosophy, depth psychology, and art history, she transforms everyday objects into theatrical protagonists inhabiting richly constructed worlds.
Her paintings balance humor with existential inquiry, exploring desire, mortality, confinement, and the enduring legacy of still life painting. Ronchetti has presented solo exhibitions at Siddhartha Art Gallery in Kathmandu and Satellite Art Show in Miami, while also exhibiting at Phillips Auction’s “Take Home a Nude” fundraiser, Culture Lab LIC, Palazzo Gagliardi Museum in Italy, and The Bridge Arts Foundation in Los Angeles. She is also the recipient of the Izabela Depczyk Scholarship at the New York Academy of Art.
Working between abstraction and figuration, Xinyan Yu creates luminous oil paintings shaped by migration, motherhood, memory, and embodied experience. Born in Changchun, China, her artistic practice has evolved across China, the United Kingdom, and the United States, resulting in paintings that explore emotional perception through radiant color, organic forms, and gestural movement.
Currently an MFA candidate at the School of Visual Arts in New York, Yu has exhibited at Hudson Valley MOCA, New Bedford Art Museum, Viridian Artists Gallery, BAU Gallery, Suffolk Art Gallery, and venues across the United States. Her paintings evoke shifting psychological landscapes where emotion, vulnerability, resilience, and the rhythms of nature intersect, inviting viewers into spaces that feel both deeply personal and universally resonant.
Viewed together, the three artists offer different approaches to many of the same questions: How do we experience transformation? How do memory and environment shape identity? And how can contemporary art create new ways of understanding ourselves and the world around us? Their practices move fluidly between observation and imagination, creating immersive works that reward close looking while reflecting broader cultural conversations around perception, ecology, and human experience.
Founded by artist and curator Indira Cesarine, The Untitled Space has built its reputation by championing artists whose work pushes beyond conventional boundaries while engaging with contemporary culture. Since opening its Tribeca gallery in 2015, the gallery has presented more than 100 exhibitions featuring over 600 artists, providing a platform for emerging and established voices working across disciplines.
The gallery’s participation in Artsy’s “Foundations 2026” continues that mission, introducing a new generation of collectors to artists whose practices are helping shape the future of contemporary art.
The Untitled Space’s presentation will be available exclusively on Artsy from August 3 through August 21, 2026, with all featured works available for acquisition throughout the online fair.
