The Vogue Festival, held this year on April 20th and 21st at the Royal Geographical Society, in association with Vertu, is an event that brings together some of the biggest names in fashion, from the most important designers and models, to influential photographers and journalists. This year, celebrities like Kate Hudson and Joely Richardson mingled with internationally renowned designers, including Tom Ford, Christopher Bailey, Diane von Furstenberg, Stella McCartney, and Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. All of the designers gave talks and panel discussions on various aspects of the fashion industry, candidly answering questions and providing an insider’s perspective. Supermodels Eva Hersigova, Natalia Vodianova, Jourdan Dunn, and Lily Cole regaled the audience with stories about life as a model and answered questions, while legendary photographer David Bailey gave an interview with Vogue features director Jo Ellison. Hot, young designers, Christopher Kane, Nicholas Kirkwood, and Mary Katrantzou were also present, answering questions about their careers and the city they love during a special Fashion Question Time event. In addition to these panel discussions, the festival hosted a wide range of events, including makeovers, photo shoots, trend talks and fashion films. In addition, limited edition t-shirts are available, designed exclusively for the festival by Mulberry. The first ever Vogue Festival proved to be a hugely successful occasion that offered an exclusive, intimate look into the lives of some of the people who shape and define the fashion world.
