Tobias Teschner: “Yellow Snow”
Wilkinson, 50 to 58 Vyner Street, London
January 17 – February 22, 2015

The Wilkinson Gallery presents Tobias Teschner in an exhibition titled “Yellow Snow,” which includes an eponymous painting of a pure white snow-scape with many figures, and one of them peeing a little yellow stream into the snow. is a London artist of German heritage with an interest in the religious; he goes to church every Wednesday and Sunday. How spirituality interacts with the real world in terms of where good and evil stands is of keen interest to Teschner, and the figures in his paintings have a bittersweetness of both. For Teschner, beauty is not good if it is too perfect, and what is truly interesting is the combination of a little bit of dirt and grime with the sublime. A little bit of piss in the snow.

At the opening on January 16, 6-8pm, The Colin Fallows Ensemble will perform Winter Reverb. The Colin Fallows Ensemble is an electric guitar quartet dedicated to the performance of multi- layered soundworks, dense with microtones which generate numerous overtones through bespoke tuning to resonant performance spaces.
