Todd Lynn’s Spring 2013 collection for London Fashion Week proved that the designer had one thing on the mind: Africa. Lynn’s three biggest inspirations—”Heart of Darkness”, “Apocalypse Now” and the artist Peter Beard—played a major role in the final collection, which featured an assortment of light colors and smearing patterns, with all the individual pieces coming together all combining to create a stunning whole. His muse for this season’s theme was African culture, and Lynn took that to new heights by mixing sexy linear patterns with chic beige dresses. Green and red motifs were also used for a sleek evening look, continuing the season’s appreciation of color. Although Lynn’s techniques are fixed in their design, the outfits are sleek and always well-suited for a night out.
