“At its core, “UPRISE 2025: The Art of Resistance,” is a powerful reflection of art’s enduring role in activism. This exhibition is deeply personal for me, as an artist, curator, and advocate for social change. It is an exploration of how art can be an act of protest, how it can inspire hope in the face of adversity, and foster solidarity in the fight for justice. At The Untitled Space, we’ve spent the last decade pushing boundaries, and this exhibition continues that legacy with urgency and purpose.

Katherine Crockett is a force of nature, and her performance in this exhibition will speak directly to the core of UPRISE 2025—the belief that art can be a powerful tool for resistance. This performance is a celebration of the power of creativity to ignite activism. I have worked with Katherine for nearly a decade, as she performed at some of our first exhibitions including “SHE INSPIRES” in collaboration with SHE SHOULD RUN, among many others. I am looking forward to her powerful live performance on March 20th and continuing to celebrate a decade of art, activism, and unwavering resistance at The Untitled Space.”  – Curator Indira Cesarine
