Valentino’s Creative Director, Pierpaolo Piccioli will join journalist Alina Cho at The Met on May 21st for a conversation about fashion and its narrative power, his humanistic approach to creativity, and his influence that reaches beyond the fashion industry. Since arriving at Valentino, Pierpaolo Piccioli has captured the essence of a legendary brand synonymous with elegance and craftsmanship and infused it with a new set of values defined by beauty, grace, and individuality.

Alina Cho is a  CBS Sunday Morning contributor and the Editor at Large of Ballantine Bantam Dell. She hosts intimate conversations about art and fashion for The Atelier at the Met and has presented visionary thinkers like Olivier Rousteing, Alexander Wang, Alber Elbaz, Diane von Furstenberg, Donatella Versace, Anna Wintour, Michael Kors, and Proenza Schouler.

Piccioli wrote of the honor, “Being nominated, as a designer, reminds me that I can say something through my choices and I will, now more than ever. This world needs to be moved by love, inclusivity, equality and freedom of expression, this is what I stand for and what I want to sustain with what I do.”
