VICTOR & ROLF – PARIS F/W 2012 FASHION SHOW
Viktor & Rolf looked to the full moon, known for making wolves howl and humans act strangely, when designing their Fall 2012 collection. Models silhouettes in dramatic poses were cast against the back wall as they were moved across the stage on a conveyor belt, before beginning their walk down the serpentine runway. Draped silk pajama sets were printed in various animal motifs, trimmed with strips of mink that were echoed in pompoms on the high heels. Big, fur coats has wide curving lines shaved into them creating both an impressive graphic impact and the feeling of wild animals that have been attacked. Long, sheer, black evening gowns outlined in fur, were the collections biggest surprise and, despite being totally unwearable, left a serious sartorial impact.
