VISIT NEW YORK CITY’S SCARIEST HAUNTED HOUSES

Celebrate spooky season with a frightful night visiting one of New York City’s scariest haunted houses. Spend your Saturday night with the ghosts, the killer clowns, and the creepiest creatures New York has to offer. With admission from $50 or less, you’ll want to hit as many of these terrifying attractions as your mind can handle. Whether you’re staying in the city for a scare or making a day trip out of the festivities, prepare to scream. Here are the must-visit Haunted Houses near New York, NY… enter if you dare.

BLOOD MANOR – NEW YORK, NY

With over 10,000 square feet of haunted rooms, passageways, and corridors, Blood Manor located at 359 Broadway New York, NY, is “designed to be the most intense, creepy and scam inducing haunted house attraction in the New York State area,” as stated on their official site. Complete the 20-minute journey by foot and be sure not to touch any of the cast- as they’re trained not to touch you. For an extra-spooky night, attend one of their Night Out Night events. JEKYLL & HYDE HAUNTED ASYLUM – NEW YORK, NY

Packed with intense special effects, 91 7th Avenue S, New York, NY is an award-winning asylum, and is sure to be one of the most terrifying haunted houses in the Big Apple. From November 5 through 7, Jekyll & Hyde Asylum will hold Glow Stick Fright Nights, where you must survive the night using only the dim light of a glow stick. A HAUNTING IN HOLLIS – QUEENS VILLAGE, NY 

Visit the only in-home haunted house around, featuring live actors and two double mazes. Be warned, at A Haunting in Hollis, the zombies here WILL chase you, but at least you’re provided a flashlight to help you run. They no longer use the safe word “PEANUT BUTTER” to shoo off the zombies; instead, this year you’ll be given a laser gun to defend yourself throughout the experience. NY KREISCHER MANSION – STATEN ISLAND, NY

Located at 4500 Arthur Kill road, Kreischer Mansion is the “most haunted house on Staten Island,” as noted on their website. From October 1 – November 1, every Thursday Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night at the mansion will be filled with fright. HEADLESS HORSEMAN HAUNTED HOUSE – ULSTER PARK, NY

If you’re looking to leave the city for a day or weekend trip this fall, the Headless Horseman Haunted House located at 778 Broadway in Ulster Park, NY is roughly a two hour drive out of town. With over nine terrifying attractions, Headless Horseman was ranked in Yahoo’s Top 10 Haunted Houses in America. BAYVILLE SCREAM PARK – BAYVILLE, NY

About an hour and a half drive from New York City lies Bayville Scream Park, a Long Island theme-park packed with six spooky attractions. Visit Dr. Bascombe’s Bloodworth Manor, test your fear of clowns at Uncle Needles FunHouse of Fear, or take on the Temple of Terror.
