Yulia Yanina’s collection whispered of a mysterious, winged creature from centuries past. Seated in the Résidence de l’Ambassadeur de Russie, Hôtel d’Estrées guests were visited by visions of the Sirin, a Russian mythological creature that symbolizes eternal joy and heavenly happiness. Stately blacks and browns were accentuated with luxurious greens, blues, gold, and reds. Models swept through in voluminous skirts, cinched waists, flowing cape sleeves, pencil skirts, and fitted blouses.  Details—with an elegant nod to traditional Slavic culture—included velvet sashes, peacock motifs, floral and leaf patterns, crochet, and velvet cuffs.
