TIMO WEILAND – NEW YORK – SPRING / SUMMER 2013 FASHION SHOW
Timo Weiland found the perfect blend of youth and adult with his Spring/Summer 2013 line, harkening back to familiar fashion inspirations: 1980s/1990s; hip hop; minimalist nightwear. The menswear went the casual and clean route, largely featuring well-fitting garments that made the womenswear standout all the more. With quirky patterns (including tribal prints), and unique material choices (rubber was everywhere to be found), it was the ladies who got the most notable designs of the night, including a pattered Swarovski crystal-adorned tank with a free-flowing navy silk skirt. The closing number—a black off-the-shoulder cocktail dress that was just modern and timeless enough—brought all the women to their feet and all the men to their knees.
