On March 15th, at an exclusive event, filmmaker and designer Jennifer Elster launched her pop-up shop in Tribeca. With models donning full leather masks amid projected videos of Elster with Yoko Ono and Terrance Howard, and a performance piece entitled Gender Execution, the artist created an immersive and interactive environment.
The evening’s guests included Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, Rosie Perez, Michael Stipe, Courtney Love, Shalita Grant, as well as The Untitled‘s EIC Indira Cesarine, to name a few. Featured during the evening were also images by Helena Christensen of supermodel and actress Brooke Shields for Reserved Magazine Issue 3, which was celebrating their launch at the event. More than just a store, but a creative experience, the J. Elster pop-up shop officially opened March 16th at 75 Leonard Street.
