In the sixth edition of her landmark fashion film festival, ASVOFF founder Diane Pernet has cast
her net wider than ever before to capture the most globally diverse, panoramic and intercontinental programme to date at the Centre Pompidou. Once again, ‘A SHADED VIEW ON FASHION FILM’ (ASVOFF 6) will present trailblazing international film legends like Larry Clark, Serge Lutens, Mike Figgis, Bettina Rheims, Wing Shya, David Sims, Ellen Von Unwerth, Bruce Weber and fashion brands as distinctive as Dior Homme, Haider Ackermann, Hussein Chalayan, Pierre Cardin, Armani, Opening Ceremony, Chanel , Gieves & Hawkes, Terry de Havilland and Viktor & Rolf. And for the first time ever, ASVOFF will present, in collaboration with this edition’s official partner RENAULT, a commissioned film directed by artist Marcus Tomlinson featuring the electric car model ZOE. Among the Prizes awarded in the competition will be the Emerging Talent Prize, awarded by NOWNESS and the Beauty Prize by MAKE UP FOREVER. This edition includes as well a partnership with Modern Weekly magazine, featuring a Chinese Fashion Film theme as well as a selection of ‘Fetish’ short films selected by Diane Pernet for the recent Arnhem Fashion Biennale (MoBA) in The Netherlands. But beyond China and The Netherlands, this year, ASVOFF will also introduce scores of filmmakers and fashion talent from the four corners of the earth for its audiences to explore, absorb, confront, consider and rediscover.
