American Hip-Hop artist, Ciara, is the new face of Italian designer Roberto Cavalli’s Fall/Winter 2015-16 advertising campaign. Photographed by Francesco Carrozzini, this stunning series graces beauty with a hint of wildness.
“The story of a world encapsulated in one room. A surreal kingdom where the walls look like a magical sky and surfaces enchant with desert volumes and earthy hues,” or so says the press release. “The Maison’s tailoring workmanship enhances the printed silks, which evaporate from black into the colours of a dreamlike world, until they capture the warmth of a starry night with the brilliance of elegant solid colours. The long, flowing dresses bear traces of precious traditional oriental embroideries, transforming them into sumptuous, modern details.” Our take? Anything looks good on Ciara, and this collection of Cavalli’s is no exception.
As a style icon and social phenomenon, Ciara interprets the Cavalli woman with purity and spontaneity. She recently returned from her latest American tour to promote her album, Jackie.
