Following the Victoria and Albert Museum’s massive success with David Bowie is, a retrospective paying tribute to the late icon, the Brooklyn Museum is bringing the show to New York City. Curated by Victoria Broackes and Geoffrey Marsh of the V&A, the exhibit features over 60 of Bowie’s stage costumes, excerpts from live performances, set designs, and some of Bowie’s personal belongings including handwritten set lists, lyrics, and diary entries.
Priority tickets are on sale now, and Brooklyn Museum members can purchase general admission starting November 8th. Non-members must wait until November 15th. The exhibit is sure to be a hit—it drew over 1.5 million visitors during its stint at the V&A, and broke records for most popular exhibit at the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art during its United States debut.
