Band Early Morning Rebel performed live at The Untitled Magazine Music Issue 6 Launch Party in New York at The Box
On May 8, 2013 The Untitled Magazine celebrated the launch of the latest issue, The Music Issue 6, at The Box NYC. From 8pm – midnight, the event featured performances by Starred and Early Morning Rebel, who were featured in the issue, as well as cover star Natalia Kills. The evening was hosted by Editor in Chief Indira Cesarine, and Society Editor Lady Victoria Hervey. Peroni and “Untitled” Qui Tequila cocktails were served all evening, and guests danced to tunes by DJ David Katz between the performances.
LA group Early Morning Rebel, made up of Dustin Bath (lead guitar), Nathan Blumenfeld-James (lead singer) and Josh Mervin (drummer and keyboard), formed the band only about a year ago, but in that very short time they have been gaining some serious momentum. “Our goal was to write music and make art that we really believed in and that really resonated with who we are now.” Their rebellious style has been embraced as brilliantly eclectic, with stripped down, emotional tracks, such as their single “Life Boat” that have been featured on network TV series soundtracks like Grey’s Anatomy. After a series of performances at London and Paris Fashion Weeks, they were coined the “Fashion It Band”. They have since picked up a loyal following of big-name stars, including Orlando Bloom and Kirsten Dunst. 2013 will see the release of a new album, as well as an increase in appearances and the inevitable buzz.
