Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research held its annual Angel Ball on October 28 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. The highly anticipated gala brought together supporters from the philanthropic, entertainment, fashion, and medical communities to advance research on more effective therapies for leukemia, lymphoma, and related cancers. Proceeds from the event directly fund research for more pioneering cancer treatments.
This year’s Angel Ball honored Grace Cayre, author, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, for her exceptional contributions to cancer research and commitment to the foundation’s mission. Cayre was joined by honorary chairs Amy & Brian France, Marc J. Leder, and Monique Rodriguez, who lent their support and presence to the event.
The evening featured an electrifying performance by hip-hop legend Busta Rhymes and a dynamic DJ set by Mad Marj, ensuring an unforgettable night for attendees. Special presenters and performers included Bianca Castillo Peters, Star Jones, and Jace Yawnick, with more surprise guests adding to the night’s excitement.
The event included a live auction, featuring one-of-a-kind luxury items and experiences, such as an exclusive villa stay in the Caribbean and a stunning piece of jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz.
Alongside the live auction was a presentation of silent auction artwork, including works by notable artists such as Mr Brainwash, Bradley Theodore, Hunt Slonem, Ross Pino, Carol Friedman, and UNTITLED’s founder Indira Cesarine, which was exhibited at the one-night-only event at Cipriani’s.
The 2024 Angel Ball was presented by Lorraine Schwartz, Mielle, and Dennis & Co., with sponsorship support from Valmont, Camilla, Naviva – a Four Seasons Resort, Whispering Angel, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, and Ikraa Caviar. Founded by Denise Rich in memory of her daughter Gabrielle, Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation is committed to funding innovative research that accelerates the development of effective therapies for patients facing these challenging diseases. This year’s Angel Ball featured exclusive live performances and a luxury auction, generating nearly $3M to support promising research efforts.
