COOPER COLE is presenting a solo show exhibiting work of American artist, Jen Stark.
Jen Stark’s work is distinct and undeniably recognizable for its cyclical, colorful, op-art attributes. Stark fuels her craftsmanship with inspiration drawn from an interest in mathematics, natural organisms, and outer space. Optical illusions, color gradations, and repetition play key roles in her sculptural works. The visual outcome is optically alluring and generates an ambiance of the surreal. These bold, colorful installations suggest a fantastical, psychedelic atmosphere and welcomes the viewer into the realm of Stark’s imagination.
Jen Stark (b. 1983, Miami, FL) is a graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore, MD, and Center for Art and Culture, Aix-en-Provence, France.
