Chashama Gala
205 E 42nd St, NY
June 20th, 6 pm – 1 am
Head to Chashama’s Midtown space on June 20 for an evening of artistic extravagance, with over 300 performers transforming the 30,000-square-foot space at this year’s Chashama Gala and subsequent Art Party. Guests can expect to see sideshows, staged bathroom stalls, chocolate-tasting lounges, and fantastical hair design installations at this daring New York City event.
The art party will be hosted by staples of the city’s creative scene, including painter Isadora Capraro, spiritual tool business My Little Magic Shop, and art curation service Studio Kasa by Josh Kaser. The evening event will include an open bar, late-night snacks, a DJ, and a crowd full of daringly dressed creatives.
Chashama has been a mainstay in New York’s creative community for over three decades, partnering with property owners to transform vacant real estate into free space for exhibitions, studios, and arts education for underserved communities. Incredibly, the organization has served 50,000 artists, hosted 4,000 public art events, given storefronts to 1,000 small businesses, and provided 2,500 free art classes. The funds from the Gala allow Chashama to continue to allocate money toward increasing accessibility to the arts for all people.
This year’s gala will bring together New York’s corporate executives and artistic mystics to create interactive, spell-binding art and expression. The evening will also honor Sam Savarino of Savarino Properties, who has supported Chashama’s expansion upstate.
The gala has received support from event sponsors including Rockrose, King & Spalding, Chicago Title Insurance, and David Beahm Experiences. It’ll also be supported by co-chairs Gregory Reimers and Superior Management Inc. and its benefit community.
