LOUISE GRAY – LONDON F/W 2012 FASHION SHOW
Louise Gray took a bold stance on playing with color, pattern, and texture for her electrifying Fall 2012 collection, “I’ll Take It.” Gray focused on wildly patterned knits, mixing them together to create depth and a visual shock to the system. Although the ensembles are covered head-to-toe in these designs, the clean, bold structure of the garments still shines through. This collection is firmly rooted in the eighties, drawing inspiration from punk icon Zillah Minx, opera sets designed by Fernand Léger and David Hockney, Cyndi Lauper, and Debbie Harry. “I’ll Take It” is an exuberant, vibrant nod to the eighties that still encapsulates Gray’s modern taste and her label’s mantra, “happiness and fun.”
