On August 22, 2024, the Maestro Cares Foundation brought together a select group of philanthropists, celebrities, and supporters for an exclusive cocktail reception in Southampton, New York. Hosted by Power Lawyer David Hryck and co-hosted by Supermodel Karolina Kurkova, the event highlighted the Foundation’s unwavering commitment to improving the lives of disadvantaged children across Latin America and the United States.

The Maestro Cares Foundation, co-founded by international music icon Marc Anthony and entrepreneur Henry Cárdenas, has been a beacon of hope for underprivileged children since its inception in 2012. This intimate gathering in the Hamptons, attended by notable figures such as fashion icons Kelly Cutrone, Fern Mallis, and Kelly Bensimon, as well as Joanna Bennett, daughter of legendary singer Tony Bennett, and NYFW debuting designer Cameron Alastaire, was a testament to the widespread support for the Foundation’s mission.

The evening commenced with welcoming remarks from hosts David Hryck and Karolina Kurkova, who expressed their deep admiration for the Foundation’s work. Following their introduction, Paola Ferrario, Fundraising Manager of Maestro Cares Foundation, delivered a powerful speech that underscored the importance of community support in driving the Foundation’s initiatives forward. Ferrario highlighted the organization’s ongoing projects, which have already touched the lives of thousands of children across 16 countries.

One of the evening’s most memorable moments was a special live performance by the legendary Wyclef Jean. In a spontaneous and heartfelt gesture, Wyclef invited Antonia Bennett, daughter of Tony Bennett, to join him on stage. The duo performed a soulful rendition of George Gershwin’s “Summertime,” leaving the audience in awe and creating a moment that will be cherished for years to come.

Guests were not only treated to an evening of entertainment but were also reminded of the vital role they played in supporting the Foundation’s mission. They were invited to continue their involvement by attending the upcoming Maestro Cares Foundation 11th Annual Changing Lives, Building Dreams Gala. Scheduled for December 10, 2024, at the prestigious Cipriani Wall Street in New York City, this gala promises to be an extraordinary night, featuring a special performance by Marc Anthony himself, dedicated to raising essential funds for the Foundation’s life-changing work.

Since its founding, Maestro Cares Foundation has funded 37 projects, creating safe and healthy environments that support the developmental and academic needs of children. Additionally, the Foundation offers a scholarship program that provides educational opportunities for Latino students who excel academically and are committed to charitable work.
