MARC JACOBS – NEW YORK F/W 2012 FASHION SHOW
More is definitely more for the Marc Jacobs F/W 2012 collection. The designer piled on the fabrics and colors with wool stoles buttoned over wool coats worn on top of patchwork skirts over cropped pants. The fabrics varied as much as the colors. Jacbos sent out complex brocades, tweeds bonded to leather, glitter tulle embroidered with wool yarn in prints that ranged from oversize paisleys to floral pencil doodles, and holographic appliqués. The models donned multi-colored floppy mink hats and pilgrim shoes with rhinestone buckles in stark contrast to the crumbling village set designed by Rachel Feinstein.
