MASHA MA – PARIS F/W 2012 FASHION SHOW
Masha Ma has continually focused on the idea of unraveling the feminine form, and in her Fall 2012 collection this theme took new shape thanks to inspiration from Oscar Wilde’s fairy tale,The Nightingale and the Rose. The collection consisted largely of black and white floor-length evening gowns that showcased Ma’s craftsmanship and construction through their form-fitting, architectural elements, particularly the dramatic, precise folds at every neck and waistline. Ma sought to encapsulate a modern femininity in her collection, designing for the woman who is, “chic and romantically tough, delicate, with sophistication, but never silenced.”
