DANIEL KANES
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1240067/
Daniel Kanes has worked in Los Angeles for the last 10 years as a lighting technician and cinematographer. He has lit over 100 commercials, music videos, Television shows, and popular as well as smaller scale independent feature films. He believes that one of the most important aspects of shooting a film is preproduction, collaborating carefully with a Director, Producer and Production Designer to not only make sure the camera work fits the film, but that everything we put in front of the camera helps to tell the story.
Two of the highlights of his career have been working as a lighting technician on Miranda July’s film “Me and You and Everyone We Know” and designing all the lighting for the Coen Brothers short film “Chacun son cinéma” which was their contribution to the 2007 Cannes Film Festival 60th Anniversary Director’s Autobus.

GRANT ODDOYE
DJ Afro Mullet aka 10:23 is a solo recording artist and musician. His roots come from Ghana, in West Africa, and from Scotland, in the UK. He tries to express the synergy and tension of being half black African and half white Scottish through his music and his name; the Afro being a symbol of black pride, and the Mullet being a symbol of white pride, combined to produce the garish yet eminently fashionable Afro Mullet hairstyle. This primal fusion also comes through in his music, where a frustrated soul tries to break through its real and imagined societal and emotional barriers, sometimes with limited success.
His original name 10:23 comes from his fascination with electronics and his interest in esoteric subjects such as numerology and astrology – the time 10:23 always seemed to indicate or act as a signpost for important events in his life when he was young. He graduated from Cambridge University in the UK in 2004 with a degree in electronic and software engineering, and he uses that technical knowledge to both build analogue music synthesizer circuits that add to his music and soundscapes, and to aid his composition techniques in general.
Never static or fully definable, his music aims to make you think at the very least, and to hopefully do something useful with your new found insights into our strange and largely unknown universe… to be continued…
