French pop singer Petite Meller finally released her anticipated single “Milk Bath” and its eccentric music video over the past week. As with her video for “Baby Love,” Meller once again shows her love of travel and culture. Shots from “Milk Bath” were taken in Germany and Senegal, while the song was recorded between London and Johannesburg, South Africa.
The unique video features the frequent fashion week attendee’s signature pink cheeks as she dances in a locker room, floats in a naturally pink lake, actually takes a milk bath, and dances throughout a field.
“The first thing you need when you’re born in life is Milk. It comes to you and goes away. What if you could swim in a bath full of all your needs? That would be a surplus of enjoyment, close to a psychotic seizure … Milk bath is a request from a girl to a boy to stop fantasizing and come and meet her in reality, as she is left alone waiting in his fantasy.” – Petite Meller
The track will be a part of her upcoming debut album, which she previously mentioned in an interview for The Untitled Magazine’s #GirlPower Issue, in which she also discusses her music, videography and love of philosophy.
Other than preparing for the album’s release, the charming singer recently performed at Twitter’s 10th Anniversary celebration and the opening of this year’s Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition in London. Missed those? See her live at Wireless Festival, Secret Garden Party, and Bestival, and stay tuned for the release of her debut album towards the end of the summer.
