SALLY LAPOINTE – NEW YORK F/W FASHION SHOW
Sally LaPointe toned down her usual gothic, angular style for her Fall 2012 collection inspired by Kafka’s The Metamorphosis. The collection was a departure for LaPointe who used ample color and patterns instead of her usual all black ensembles. However, her dark roots remained in tact with models sporting pale skin and minimal eye makeup with blood-red lips. The looks moved away from LaPointe’s usual stark architectural elements, tending towards loose, flowing gowns with asymmetrical hems. Lapointe sought to encapsulate the story that inspired her with incredible details such as laster cut lace, a custom metamorphosis print, and a winged silhouette.
