Saunder’s Spring/Summer 2013 line is a perfect blend of the 1990s riot grrl aesthetic—all floral prints and shoes fit for combat—and more modern styling, such as metallic fabrics and androgynous fits. Saunder’s wide array of cuts, mixed with lighter colors, such as sherbet greens, salmon pinks and cream yellows, make for an ideal mix of stand-out pieces with a nice feminine twist. Some of the line’s most notable elements hinged on an almost Grecian drape effect, with long, billowing fabrics matched only by chic neckline cuts. As a whole, Saunder crafted a Spring/Summer line that felt appropriate for a wide array of women willing to push their fashion limits.
