STEPHEN BURROWS COLLECTION PHOTOGRAPHS
Fashion designer Stephen Burrows, having graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 1966, became the first African-American designer to acquire international recognition. For his spring 2011 collection, Burrows features a low-tech presentation and only used six models to showoff his collection. The clothes were bright and polished with a chic style. Noteworthy were the party frocks that were inspired by kaleidoscope colors, simple silk georgette gowns and shirt-dresses.
