125 Live
28 Redchurch Street, London, E2 7DP
12th – 28th September 2014
Open daily from noon to 9pm
Since the publication of the hugely popular 125X last December, 125 and 125online are planning the next incarnation called 125LIVE. 125X is a 300 page celebration of 125 Magazine’s 10th anniversary, in a strictly limited edition of 1250 copies. The issue featured a selection of the best images published over the last ten years by the magazine, featuring works by a broad range of photographers including The Untitled Magazine‘s editor-in-chief Indira Cesarine, as well as other notables such as Rankin, Gavin Bond, Danielle Levitt, Perry Curties, Perou, Kristian Schuller, Derek Henderson, David Wooley, Jordan Doner, Rick Guest, Blinkk, Nicole Nodland, DBOX, Jason Hetherington, and Steen Sundland.
125LIVE is centered around a major exhibition featuring the work of 100+ artists, each of whom have selected their most innovative pieces for public display in an eclectic range of sizes and framing styles. Its going to be a visual feast and a great opportunity to view and collect some of the iconic imagery from some of the most creative photographers working today. The Untitled Magazine‘s editor-in-chief Indira Cesarine will also be featured in the forthcoming exhibition in September, alongside a host of other 125 contributing artists.
THE LECTURE SERIES
On selected evenings throughout 125LIVE there will be staged ‘Creativity Talks’, a series of informal guest lectures from leading figures in the creative industry. Guest speakers confirmed so far include: Prof. Frances Corner (LCF), photographers Klaus Thymann and Julia Fullerton Batten, Hoxton Mini Press, Marcus Agerman Ross (Jocks & Nerds), Jules Wright (Wapping Project), Jexy & Pottsy (Saatchi & Saatchi) with more being added every day.
THE WORKSHOPS
125ACADEMY launches at 125LIVE with a series of photography workshops and masterclasses for the beginner all the way up to advanced level. For the absolute beginner they’re running another of their hugely popular photographic safaris, while intermediate and semi-pro photographers looking to take the next step in their careers can join the introductory studio lighting workshops and advanced lighting masterclasses for fashion and beauty, featuring live fashion models. For the pro-photographer looking to diversify they have a film directing workshop to introduce you to all the latest camera equipment and explain some of the key techniques in moving image creation.
