Art Basel Miami Beach, one of the most prestigious art shows in the United States, merges an international selection of works from top galleries by world-renowned artists with a program of special exhibitions, parties and crossover events featuring music, film, architecture and design. The New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) is the definitive non-profit arts organization dedicated to the cultivation, support, and advancement of new voices in contemporary art. NADA holds a renowned art fair to vigorously pursue their goals of exploring new or underexposed art that is not typical of the “art establishment.”
This year, Detroit-based artist and creator of the Heidelberg Project, Tyree Guyton will present a new tree sculpture in the garden area; Miami’s Fringe Projects will present a painted automobile cover by artist Keith Allyn Spencer parked on North Miami Avenue, and Los Angeles gallery AA|LA will present new hanging rawhide works by artist and writer Rindon Johnson installed across the palm trees.

Prizm exhibits a dynamic group of contemporary artists during Art Basel/Miami Beach and beyond. Salient works are presented that highlight the diversity evident in contemporary visual art practices today, including painting sculpture and mixed media installations. This year, Prizm will present the work of 39 artists its special section entitled “Love in the Time of Hysteria,”illustrates how love, compassion, and respect endure in a social milieu riddled with divisive political rhetoric, unprovoked inflammatory attacks on members of marginalized communities, and broad societal malaise as a result of economic inequity.

SATELLITE is an alternative art fair that presents new projects spanning the gamut of art, music, performance, installation, new media and tech. The fair was created in 2015 by artists as an opportunity for young dealers, artist-run spaces and non-profits to exhibit during Miami Art Week. SATELLITE prides itself on providing visitors an experience free from the restrictions customary to traditional settings (see its hashtag, #NOTBASEL).
