TEMPERLEY LONDON – LONDON F/W 2012 FASHION SHOW
As the title of Temperley London‘s Fall 2012 collection suggests, it was heavily inspired by sumptuous Renaissance religious paintings from the beginning of the 18th century. However, It was not just paintings that gave the “Renaissance” collection its title, but the word itself, meaning creative re-awakening or re-birth. The collection is a celebration of opulence and luxury, with luxe, decorative patterns and textures. The looks feature an array of fabrics and textures, mixing embroidered, structured satins, with velvet, laser cut taffeta and heavy embellishment. The resulting silhouette is polished and feminine with a cinched waist and trumpet skirt. As Alice Temperley said of the collection, “in this fast transient world a little decadence is like a tonic, a romantic escapism.”
Beauty looks featured nude glowing skin with rosy cheeks and glossy chignons.
