Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana held their annual Dolce & Gabbana Sardegna 2024 shows from July 1st to July 3rd, 2024. Starting in 2012, Dolce & Gabbana has hosted this fashion grand tour boasting a plethora of parties and the opportunity to buy exclusive pieces worth well over six figures. This year, there were three presentations:

Alta Gioielleria

The Dolce & Gabbana Alta Gioielleria collection made its debut on July 1st, 2024. Presented in Piazzetta Luisa at Forte Village, the collection was laid out in a maze allowing guests to wander through the area admiring the breathtaking jewelry. Elements of the Sardinian countryside and sunlight were also heavily featured in the space, allowing for the pieces to come to life.

The Alta Gioielleria collection is the epitome of luxury and artistry in high jewelry. Inspired by the breathtaking Sardinian landscape and its rich cultural heritage, each piece is meticulously crafted, combining gold threads and precious gems to create timeless masterpieces. These jewels are not just accessories but works of art that reflect the brand’s dedication to handcrafted precision and artisanal expertise, offering a unique glimpse into the world of high jewelry.

Alta Moda

The Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda collection was unveiled in Sardinia, Italy on July 2nd, 2024. The presentation took place at the Archeological Park of Nora and featured a unique installation: “Nora Mirage” by Phillip K. Smith III. Inspired by Nora and the Alta Moda collection, Smith creates a metaphysical environment that plays with light and shadow curating an immersive experience that bridges ancient traditions and contemporary art.

The Alta Moda collection celebrates Italian heritage and craftsmanship. This collection features exquisite garments that blend historical elements with contemporary fashion, inspired by the vibrant culture and traditions of Puglia. Embroidery and lace are elevated to art forms, creating pieces that narrate the rich cultural traditions of Italy. Each garment is a testament to the brand’s commitment to detail, creativity, and the fusion of historical and modern influences.

Alta Sartoria

The Alta Sartoria collection was presented on July 3rd, 2024 at the Fort Village Resort. The presentation was outdoors and embodied the Sant’Efisio Parade theming. Individuals donned classical attire and threw a plethora of flowers in the center section of the runway. Models were then sent down a winding path that encompassed the sea of flowers in the center.

The Alta Sartoria collection captures the essence of Sardinian culture through luxurious menswear. Drawing inspiration from the iconic Sant’Efisio Parade, these pieces highlight the island’s artisanal legacy and weaving techniques. The collection features intricate details and rich fabrics like moiré, lace, and velvet, encapsulating the romantic spirit and cultural heritage of Sardegna in every stitch. This presentation showcased how traditional Sardinian motifs can be seamlessly integrated into high fashion.
